Controlled Beta

CS2 Skin Options Trading:
RFQ Calls and Covered Calls

CSfi.exchange is a controlled beta for RFQ-based CS2 skin options. You can buy a firm, time-bound call quote for upside exposure, or deposit eligible inventory and quote covered calls against it. Put markets are in internal validation. No public order book.

Before you start

Options can expire worthless, quotes can disappear, skin prices can move quickly, and covered-call writers may have delivery obligations while custody locks are active. Review the risk disclosure and fees before connecting a wallet or linking Steam.

Worked examples

Illustrative numbers show how premium, strike, expiry, exercise, custody, and settlement fit together. Actual quotes, fees, eligibility, and expiries vary during beta.

Buyer path

Buying a call quote

A buyer pays a 12 USDC premium for a 30-day call with a 500 USDC strike on an eligible CS2 skin. If the market reference is above the strike before expiry, the buyer can exercise, pay the strike, and receive physical settlement through custody. If the option expires out of the money, the buyer loses the premium and any fees.

Inventory-holder path

Writing a covered call

An inventory holder deposits an eligible skin into custody, quotes a 30-day covered call with a 520 USDC strike, and receives a 20 USDC premium if the quote is accepted. If the option expires unexercised, the writer keeps the premium and can withdraw the unencumbered skin. If exercised, custody delivers the skin and the writer receives the strike settlement less applicable fees.

What you need, and why

We surface constraints up front so onboarding does not feel arbitrary.

Why a wallet?

Your wallet is your identity and the rail for premium settlement. We use it to attribute quotes, positions, and deliveries — never to custody assets without consent.

Why link Steam?

Steam linking lets us see eligible inventory and route physical delivery on exercise. Linking is read-only until you explicitly initiate a custody deposit.

Why custody?

Covered call writing requires the underlying skin to be held by CSfi custody so we can guarantee delivery if the call is exercised. You can withdraw any time the asset is unencumbered.

Why RFQ, not order book?

CS2 skins are illiquid and heterogeneous. We surface firm, time-bound quotes from a small set of beta makers instead of pretending depth that doesn't exist.

FAQ

Questions before connecting

Start with the basics, then review custody, fee, risk, and privacy details before entering the app.

What is CSfi.exchange?

CSfi.exchange is a controlled beta for RFQ-based options on eligible CS2 skins, focused on calls, covered calls, custody, and physical settlement.

Is there a public order book?

No. CSfi uses firm, time-bound RFQ quotes from beta makers instead of displaying public order-book depth.

Why is custody required?

Covered calls require the underlying skin to be controlled or verified so delivery can be completed if the call is exercised.

Can options expire worthless?

Yes. Buyers can lose the premium and fees paid if a call expires out of the money or is not exercised.

What does Steam linking do?

Steam linking helps map eligible inventory and support physical settlement. It does not grant custody unless you explicitly start a deposit flow.
